I pay my water bill at the water board office in Girne. Walk from main car park, just past the huge TV into the square with the bank and cafe's on right. Opposite cafe's is the modern municipal building where water board office is on the right on ground floor. The electric office, go down the main street after leaving the above, to crossroads, turn right where you see the 'orange' shaped drink kiosk and electric office is on your left near the bottom. Green metal door, up steps, take a ticket to get served, either to register or pay bill. TV, see Digiturk. New office near roundabout Elektrokur shop, on left going towards Bellapaise traffic lights. Hope that assists Martin

Hi Nglbarnes you normally pay your water bill to your local belidiyse which in your case will be Alsancak. The bills are produced on a monthly basis and will be either left in your electricity box or folded and put in your gate. Unless you are actually moving out permanently then in my opinion its not worth going to the expense of installing digital television yet as you have to sign up for the whole year. There was a thread last week about the television stations available. If I can find it I'll bring it foward for you. Karen

As already mentioned you will pay your water at the Alsancak Belidiyse, this is on the road that runs from the Alsancak lady into Lapta village, you can't miss it it's on the right hand side. With regard to electrics. Have you already had your fuses fitted? if not this sometimes takes a while to organize. You have to requst it at the electric office then if I was you chase it up after a couple of days. Go direct to where the works are handed out, this is by the roundabout with the fountains on the main Girne Alsancak road, coming from Alsancak you turn right at roundabout then 1st left & the electrcity place is on your right. TV only worth it if your using your place a lot or your rich. Do have a great time. Don't try to worry you'll get there in the end.

Here are the directions to Alsancak Belediyesi Coming from Girne branch left just past the Sevener Restaurant ( you will see a statue of a gold lady there) carry on past Atakara Supermarket and about 400 yards after you will see the building on the right hand side of the road. It is the Alsancak Belediyesi that you should look out for

thanks for the prompt replies. my property is a resale so it already has electric i just need to register it and pay anything that is currently owing. we either stay in the property during school holidays or rent it out http://www.mountainmanzara but i thought, so long as its not to expensive to put satellite tv in there. i though i read somewhere on the forum that you can pay 100.00 Gbp upfront for a years subscription???
