Read page 16 Ipek Ozerim what a good article. Perhaps she should join the Oram's legal team. I also thought the headlines on front page was very negative - surely positive thoughts would be more helpful.

I think you raise a very important point about promoting positive media cover. Why is there rarely any coverage about the loss of TC land. Why is nobody fighting the stupid ruling about having to live in the South before TC's can claim their property back? Surely this must be against their human rights and there is no sound reasoning behind this ruling.



A few years ago I remember 300 GC's kicking up a fuss because they had discovered that their houses had been built on TC land. How come this TC owner is not asking for this land to be demolished like the Orams?



The picture continually painted to the rest of the world is that only GC's have been wronged and have lost property. Perhaps an important question to ask is what has happened to the rent money from all the GC's living in TC houses for the last 35 years? Has it not been put into a Trust by GC guardians? There is a loud cry for rent and loss of use from the GC but little about this from TC's.

Thank you, thank you Bradus. I write and phone every opportunity I can re the unfairness of the Turkish Cypriots - I also e mailed Ipek. I flew 2 large flags one Turkish Cypriot and one Turkish in my garden - lets all fly the flag so that when the GCs pay us a visit to this part of the Island, it sends out a message.
