Have been reading two full pages on problems british home owners are having,in the daily mail dated mon 4th may ,it covers a lot, including court cases going to the euro courts .Also they are saying anyone that has bought property on exchanged land which was owned by Greek cyriots before 1974 may be at risk ,but those who have turkish deeds are okay, but i think anyone owning property in the north needs to read this on line. Also the 28th of april daily mail.

Horse please check a few posts about this subject elsewhere on this forum. Everyone beleives everything they read. This is not an end to this court case which will take many years yet. I for one have had so many people asking if I am going to knock my house down!! No- it is not going to happen! I think everyone on this forum knows all they need to know but thanks anyway.

Hi horse,

If you are in the process of buying, of course you are going to be worried reading all this in the newspapers.

In time you will be able to seperate the propaganda from the truth and ignore most of what you read.

As breezeboy says it will be years before this case is sorted out and in the meantime it will be the politicians who agree what will happen to the land and not the courts. So stop worrying and enjoy your new property and your holidays in the TRNC.

Dear Horse, welcome to the board !

In truth you should come to Cyprus and judge the market for yourself - form opinions about WHO posts factually and not what they want you to read...

The market is FLAT and you can rent while you make up your mind if where ever you choose is the place for you.

You can visit the UK Foreign and Commonwealth website and it gives property advice re buying in Cyprus.

Horse,

Clearly there are a few links that may be informative for you. Some posters shy away from risk, some are fearfull of risk. Some however thrive on risk, adrenalin and strive to succeed.

Yes there is risk involved with purchase of property overseas. Yes TRNC has its level of risk and indeed it may be that the level has increased somewhat over the last days.

However..to the risk takers..come the fruits and spoils.

Property in TRNC will very soon be at absolute rock bottom.

You can grasp the opportunity and get that place in the sun OR you can keep the money in the bank and possibly become the wealthiest man in the graveyard.
