Has anyone got any idea of costs for intalling Central Heating.

We will have all the pipework already installed when we take possession of our place and was wanting to know how much extra it would be to install it after the builder has gone at a later date.

We will have 4 bedrooms, Lounge, Kitchen, etc.

Does anyone have any experience in this area?

Look to pay £3,500 to £4,000 for boiler and radiators.

The gas tank (250 or 500 litre) will be provided by the gas company you decide to use. The size of tank they deliver will depend on their average yearly of your usage.

Ensure you buy your boiler from a reputable supplier and that they can offer back up service for if/when things go wrong with it.

As most people only use them for 10 weeks a year the boiler has a habit of not firing up when you need it in years 2 or 3.

Hi Steve, My advice would be consult an English heating engineer over there - Nothing against the local guy's but I have seen some shocking installations. They are not as familiar with the concept of central heating. Have the boiler installed inside if you can. This is perfectly safe if done PROPERLY. I did hear of a TC plumber that installed a natural gas boiler onto LPG, and understandably it went bang. I would probably go for a locally sourced boiler than shipping one in - I looked inside a Turkish combi and most of the parts were ones I recognise as being reliable, fan, air switch, gas valve only circuit board I hadn't seen before but I'm sure available locally.

if you want to save on the cost of "renting" the huge tank you can use the double sized gas bottles.
