Last night i posted a thread. TIPS & GRATUITIES, there was so many phone calls to my good friend in catalkoy irish eatery,asking and wondering why his friend DAVID would ask such questions in the Forum regarding TIPS & GRATUITIES in the indian.asian.pakistani restaurants!!



Well tonight i have been put right on the subject of TIPS & GRATUITIES. if a migrant worker comes to cyprus and works in . lets say a asian.indian,pakistani restaurant he is offerd a deal!!!



you have a job for life as long as we have customers. FAIR ENOUGH !!



secondly, TIPS & GRATUITIES. if you wish to have all TIPS & GRATUITIES, then in the winter months when we are very quiet your salary or your JOB will become redundant. Fair enough i think.as this is what the TC,s do with there staff!



So ok. back to TIPS & GRATUITIES. now i know and realise why MOST of the asian.pakistani.indian restaurants KEEP the TIPS & GRATUITIES from the CUSTOMERS. !

This is the same system used in the UK.



I have asian friends in the UK who own resturants and employ waiters that then move on to work in other citiy

but they all work for a wage and also get "accomodation" included but dont get any tips.



Its very much a community helping out migrants looking for work in the UK and im all for it!

Ive seen it first hand and know it works.



They are all legal migrants with relivent permits/documents just working in a community that provides jobs and accomodation for all.

I dont think you have been told "duff info" zero and i also see the point of you post but if you were asked "do you get the tips"? Then the "honest" answer is probably gonna be NO.



But would you go into detail with a customer as too "why" you dont receive any tips?



Know one goes without a job or accomodation in the asian community.
