Has the Orams judgement got us all worrying too much? Why don't we just enjoy what we have. If it gets taken away so what - enjoy it all whilst you can. If you have your health and enough money in your pocket to put bread on the table then enjoy life. It sure as don't last forever. Hope you all have a great life.

No1 'Worry'? that word has never been part of my vocabulary. Worrying is being negative and prevents people from thinking about situations in their lives in a constructive way. Unfortunately if you have a negative outlook on life then you will never achieve anything. Just my thoughts for the day. AJ

The Orams case is jut an ongoing part of the GC propoganda war. We all know they will never be happy unless they get everything. Even then - they would want compensation ) After '74 intervention GC government asked the GC's to put in claims for land lost in the North. They claimed for land amounting to 2.5 times the size of the island )) Say no more ?

I think it's totally unfair of you to criticise the GC community just because they put in land claims 2.5 times the size of the island. This is merely an allowance for inflation and is fully justified. Equally the vilification of perfectly reasonable and even handed individuals such as Pike and Suzanne must cease forthwith. Cornish, you ought to be ashamed of yourself...........................!!

no need to worry, the orams case is last "chance saloon " for the geeeks to get as much as they can to save face before the inevitable divorce. turkey will never let go of northern cyprus and the greeks no it , these talks are a sham, only happening because the UN want to been seen as doing as much as it can to unify the island. in twelve months or eighteen at most north cyprus will be shut of the south and all the crap associated with it. slowly the TRNC will start to be recognised and anyone worrying now will wonder what all the fuss was about

i remember watching 'globe trekker" on sky,and on one day of each year this greek island(cant remember name!)has a festival and the president of greece attends. They basically stuff this boat with fireworks/explosives,put it out in the middle of the harbour, then blow it to smitherines! The ship is meant to represent the turkish naval fleet! And the whole bloody island turns up to celebrate! I turned to the missus and laughed and said we better cancel that deposit we paid! Had to laugh, says it all really! Unfortunately i saw the programme a couple of months after we paid. lol.

hey,i'm chilled no worries, just need a history lesson maybe. what your sayin then is cyprus had greeks before greece existed,so in that case greece was influenced by cyprus,ie,same language, religion etc. which then makes my original post correct because the greek island that the globe trekker program was covering the boat blowing up representing the turkish naval fleet was inflenced by their ancestors from cyprus.?

TRNC is doing quite well on its own merit. Equal rights and lifting of one or two sanctions and bobs your uncle. Long may it remain devided and less bastardised than the EU side.

to be honest,i cant see it being anything other than divided in the future,no way the 2 sides are going to end up with all theyre problems solved and living in harmony under the banner of one island imho, just cant see it happening, its a shame i know,as long as its a peaceful and friendly place to live or holiday for us brits it isnt going to make much difference either, from what i can tell theres 1000,s of happy foreigners living and holidaying there now,so obviously there should be a natural progression of the place improving and that will probably happen with or without a resolution to the island, obviously the latter will mean improvements will take longer, thats all.
