Hi guys - new to this forum but could you please tell me what type of license is required to ride a quad bike in the North - bike or car ? Also would you take the motorcycle test in North Cyprus or England ? Either way I will be entering the market soon so your advise would be appreciated

If you will live here, then you will need to apply for a TRNC licence. If you have a car licence from the uk, you will not have to take a test in the TRNC for a car licence. However, if you wish to apply for a motorbike licence you will have to complete a test here. In the mean time you can have a learner licence here, provided you have work permit or residency papers. This will alow you to ride a bike with L plates on it.

You need to obtain a tracktor driving licence according to Girne polis, however I have made inquiries with driving instructor school in Girne and they will be sending me an email within the next few hours, so i will post the answer this afternoon.

Thanks for your help scootaround but alas I do not live in cyprus but have a villa which the family and I visit for up to 10 weeks of the year. I had, at great expense, a nissan terrano exported out 2 years ago and drive this carrying my GB license although I have been told that, because I have registered it with Cypriot plates, I should apply for a TC license, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. My question is : Is the GB license sufficient to ride a motorcycle with "L" plates on and what size can I go up to - obviously the larger the bike the better as I would not have to buy a smaller one just to take the test there ? I look forward to your answer to this and your findings refering to the quad bike.

Hi John

I would like the money you still owe me for the buggy you raffled off outside Chapter One.

You know who I am.Not replying to any calls or messages my friend makes you guilty,at the end of the day you owe what you owe.Perhaps your word is worthless.

Backinuk (Alan),

Firstly, who said to you that i was not going to give you money?

Secondly, which number are you calling or to where are you sending messages?

Lastly, My Motorbike shop has been open every day for 5 years (except sunday's) and the numbers are the same.

You moved country, not me I don't have a contact for you. Even your friends that you knew before i have asked and they said that they don't hear from you.

The only reason we haven't been able to settle up with you, is due to the fact that you cannot come back to the TRNC due to illigally selling a car and a warrant for your arrest is awaiting you both......................

My telephone number is 00903928150709 and email is chaptertradingltd@yahoo.com
