my 8x4 pool cost me £220 for an acid wash from octopus pools, so that might give you a rough guide.

Hi Vaughan,

What do you do to a pool when you give it the shock treatment ? also what adhesive would you use for sealing a leak on the pipe work?.

Thanks

Tatty.

Tatty,

Raw well water is not suitable for use in a swimming pool unless it contains chlorine to keep it from going green and acid to control the pH, so that the chlorine is effective.

Shocking is done with large doses of stabilized chlorine and either muriatic acid or sodium bisulphate.

Cepex glue is probably the best one to use on a dry pipework joint.

Hi Parkview,

We can test your pool and tell you if it is your lights that are leaking. If they are, we can also carry out the repair for you.

Please contact me on vaughan@sunnycyprus.net

Hi TRNCVaughan, how will you know if its the lights as we have no water in the pool at the moment?

I assumed that your pool still had water in it. What makes you think it's the lights that are leaking?
