Today we had someone round to read our clever meter! As we pay as you go for water, like the mobile phone cards, we are wondering what is going on? The directive came from Girne. Has this happened to anyone else?We paid 100tl's worth of water just over a week ago, so presume they must be checking how much we use.

We are having one of these meters fitted at our Sons apartment, the Beledeye said it is 100tl for the card to swipe the meter and can last 3 months or when it runs out, very good for people with holiday villas as guards against paying for water from leaking pipes, thus running up a large bill.

That sounds a good idea..much better than iona cottage,has builder electric,and its three times the price.!!!!!! either that or its a rip off,!!!
