Rustem's bookshop in Nicosia opposite the Saray Hotel should have a copy. Lot's of local treasure in there.

Estate agents love to name drop to make ordinary folk think that if famous people are showing an interest then they must know something that they the ordinary folk don't know, which makes them think that if these guys are buying then we had better get in quickly. Complete load of tosh.

I have heard before that Alan Hudson (ex Chelsea) has a place here. Sadly, I also heard that he has a drink problem. I do hope the latter is just a rumour.

Remember him from his chelsea days, very good player too. He had a very bad accident a few years ago, got knocked down by a car.

eager - yes, now you've said that (about the accident) it does ring a bell. If the story about the drinking is, in fact, true, maybe that's what could have started it?

My husband is a lifelong Chelsea fan - I'll ask him what he 'knows' when he gets in from work.

Hubby in from work with a sad story regarding Alan Hudson. Apparently, he has a place in Bogaz. Last year, he was trying to sell-off his FA cup medal along with other memorabilia, as he has serious money problems. He no longer has anything to do with Chelsea but does follow Arsenal(!). He was supposedly hit by the wing mirror of a large lorry and suffered serious head injuries.

Sad tale about a once talented sportsman.

J

PS He was doing a sports column in Cyprus Today up until a few years ago.

PPS And, he was putting in a few 'guest' appearances down the Pine Bay Club when Arsenal were playing a big game.

Paul says (obviously) that he stands to be corrected on any/all of this.
