Has anyone ordered stuff off the net and it has actually arrived?

Stuff from places like Next or John Lewis? I realise that shipping might be a little (or alot!!) extra but I cant be running home every minute to buy stuff and kids clothes in Kibris are URGHH!!

We have sent stuff out to friends in the TRNC, which was purchased on the internet from Amazon and we have also posted presents. They have a PO Box and everything has always arrived......

I order quite a lot of stuff online from a variety of UK firms - books, clothes, shoes - never any problems. However, don't order anything like vitamins/herbal remedies/cosmetics though because these are now a real problem. You need a permit from the government pharmacy - four trips to Lefkosa before I could get my package. They told me that they would not give any permits again for this kind of thing. I assume that some of the pharmacists have friends in high places and want to stop people buying at much cheaper prices. Perhaps this might change under the new govt. but wouldn't hold my breath.

I have been ordering vitamins/supplements and facial moisturisers from Healthspan in Guernsey for almost 5 years now and never had any problems. Usually arrives in about a week.
