Latest opinion polls show that the Labour Government are on their way out. People have had enough of them, and it appears the Press in the UK have turned against them too.

Little point of any petitions now, they'll be voted out before they can implement anything! Let's hope the incoming government take a fairer and less biased approach.

What a magic response that was - it said nothing, it means nothing and it allows them to continue to do nothing - all in the name of an agreement that they signed but would not support. Glad I left but feel sorry for those that have to stay and keep feeding them.

No doubt should the TRNC ever become recognised the UK government will claim it was all their doing as they had been working hard in the background all these years to overcome the problems.

hi Lilli, have daughter in same positionof your son. Made redundant whilsy pregnant, Unable to work, couldn't sign on. No help forhcoming. Always worked, from leaving school. People moan about TRNc, they should be in UK at present, things are going from bad to worse for many people.

Hi sonic,

Your msg 9.

In UN resolution 353 (1974), the UK along with the other members of the UN Security Council requested withdrawal without delay from the Republic of Cyprus of foreign military personnel present otherwise than under the authority of international agreements.

Wasn't the 1960 Treaty of Guarantee an "international agreement", then?

Similarly, how does res 353 (1974) apply to the continuing presence of GR troops in RoC?
