Is there anyone who can tell me a good doctor around the Girne Area.

I am suffering from breathing difficulties from the Pollen on the Olive Trees.

I have attended the Private Hospital 3 times just around the corner from Molly place but after 2 days this problem repeats itself.

Many Thanks.

Try Dr Munir near the Jasmine court hotel, we have been plenty of times & have been seen & sorted straight away with no problems

My step father had a disease that caused breathing problems and he was always treated brilliantly by Dr Kemal. He has the new hospital opposite the Labrotories near HSBC . They are very good and have all the necessary machinery and an expert in these areas. I hope you feel better soon I know how dibilitating it is.

Best regards, Lydia

Cheapest and best idea is to go to the Girne general hospital. It may not look good but they are excellent. Alternately just go and speak to one of the pharmacists they are usually pretty knowledgable.

He should be but there are always staff there that will be able to help you. He lives near by so they can call him in. If you get there and have any problems call me on 0533 848 5152 as my husband is Turkish and knows him and can speak to anyone in there to help you. Lydia

Hope you get better soon Kazbo. If its not too personal would you let me know how much the scan costs and where you went for it (after you've been of course !). Is it a CAT scan ?

Dr. Munuur's standard treatment for anything (sandfly fever, upset stomach, coughs etc) is put you on a drip, tell you to come back tomorrow and give you a bill for 300 lira.

How right you are and to get off with 300tl is getting off lightly.

I hear good reports from Cyprus life hospital they have a team of specialists there. If you dont want to travel to Nicosia then there is Kamiloglu clinic near HSBC (opposite Mallys) or the private clinic near Pia Bella.

I went to Dr Munur on the recommondation of two seperate English friends and a Cypriot friend. I found him to be excellent, very helpful, didn't put me on a drip, advised against minor surgery as said it wasn't necessary, (This had been suggested by a clinic, later confirmed by someone else that it wasn't necessary) and altogether a good doctor. Didn't see any roaming hands either.
