I wouldnt agree with the above suggestions , because although its not developed many tourists still frequent it , i would say the west coast , lefke and beyond !

We lived in Bahecli for over a year, so quiet it drove my wife crazy. Nothing really going on on that side of the island.

Hi Kimandneil,

I think you will find Iskelle quiet enough, but if you want isolation, plenty of places down the Karpaz. Problem is you have children, how would they feel with no play mates?

Doğanköy where I live is lovely and peaceful with sea and mountain views on most properties, (mainly villas) and the centre of Girne is only about a 15 minute walk away..

Well it's also very friendly, the kids will make friends easily for sure and a pool should keep them entertained!

The only noises we hear are strange songs and calls from the birds but you soon get used to them & it's just nature, better than hearing police sirens or ambulances and traffic etc!

The Karpas is quiet - though at week ends it gets a little busier during the peak season as it is popular with people from Lefkosa for a break. However it still is quiet by Girne and the surrounding areas standards - fewer cars etc.
