Hear are my favourites. Some serious, some not...

1.

Collect all Property Tax immediately. Stop the system whereby interest is added, but it's not compulsory to pay. This can be applied to all taxes. It's owed, therefore it should be paid.

2.

All Permission to Purchase to be accepted/refused by the time the property is ready to be occupied. If it takes 3 months, 6 months, 2 years, or even sooner, (in the case of a re-seale), P2P should be completed by the time occupation is to take place. The Government should proritise, so that when a purchaser is ready to take possession, they have sorted out P2P, and therefore they can collect ALL applicable taxes.

3.

Abolish the Black economy. Make the TRNC a cashless society. Give everyone "money cards", which can only be topped up at banks. All financial transactions to be done by debiting/crediting "money cards". The authorities will monitor the use of money cards and be able to take their taxes.

If you want cash then there will be a 20% surcharge!!!

So, if you want to pay your gardener in cash, say £100.00. It will cost you £120.00. The Government will sell cash at authorised banks. Obviously, everyone must hand in all cash at authorised banks before the new system starts. Anyone found with unauthorised cash will pay a 50% fine.

Tourists will NOT be exempt.

I haven't considered casinos/nightclubs yet!

What ideas do you have?

wow. pinkchilli. are you serious with this comment?

can you for 1 min imagine me or any1 else paying a 20% surcharge to hold our own greenbacks .our own hard earned money . i dont think so. it would create a even bigger black economy. look back at some of the pre 1992 eastern block

countries where you went on holiday and had food vouchers, there was a huge black market in £ and $ and other currencies back then.

im sure i wouldnt be wanting to hand over my money to a goverment assigned banks for SAFE keeping

unless the goverment were going to offer very good interest rates under ur proposal.
