drinking to much cola can sap your muscle power along with additional other problems scientists have discovered. Thas it for me now I will stick to the vino.I bet the makers of Coca Cola will counteract this theory. I have been told that many of the US soldiers in Vietnam had serious stomach disorders al due to drinking coke. I have also been told that its the best toilet cleaner and will polish up any metal. Just think what it does to your system xxxx

Lilli - drop a discoloured coin into a glass of cola (one coloured like, say a 1p or 2p) and see what happens to it!!!!! If it does that to a coin, what does it do to your insides?

Lilli you are right about the cleaning power of Coke. Put some in a saucer, drop in a filthy coin, leave it overnight and see the result!

Due to ill health Depeche Mode had to cancel concerts in Greece, Turkey, etc, etc, however, they are trying to reschedule this particular leg of their European World tour. Ian made it for the one night but took the bad news in his stride but getting two tickets in December at the O2 arena. Does Guido know how to work the oyster opener? Istanbul as great as ever but saw no mussels nor oysters, shame! One for me when I come and see you? MOULES Mariniere on the menu? Cook my own? Lots of love

Hi all,

I found that very odd about cola giving soldiers bad stomachs because my gp told me to give my boys flat cola

when they were little and had upset tummies.

The butler's wife - yes, apparently flat "fizzy" drinks are good for upset stomachs, Sprite, 7-Up, etc.

J

Not sure about cola, but would imagine the same would apply.

Ref message 16.

On another site there was a reference to puffer fish being served at the Fishermans in Kyrenia.

What was the outcome of that saga?

Was it the dreaded puffer ( from the med!!??)

Was it the Fishermans ???

A fish if not prepared correctly will kill you and much desired in Japan at huge expense in addition chefs that are allowed to serve this go through a 7 year training programme. What happened here in TRNC was more to do with freezing thawing and refreezing and thawing. My opinion only.

coke and its cleaning powers .

this is a great tip ans one you would not think of ever ,if somebody is ever sick on a rug or carpet etc .

just simply poor coke on it and leave it for ten minuites then brush off ,it cleans the stain and takes away the smell ....so yes what does it do to your insides ?.

in my case probably not as much damage as the jack daniels

Has anyone tried pouring a can of cola/coke down on oil which has been dropped by a car works wonders just leave it and stain can then be washed away

Flat Coke is great for Hangovers.

I get Migraines and it also works great to help subdue them. My Doctor recomended it for the start of Migraines! Although she did add to make sure you brush your teeth well after ;-)
