The turkish equivalent is no good but the trimetal equivalent is just as good. I have just painted all my metal again after four years. Didnt know hammerite was sold here and cheaper then the south. I bought five tins at 45 euros a tin only to turn up a Tayfs to find out its about 30 euros. I was completely gutted, I have found that alot this year items on the south are no longer cheaper like they used to be.

Has anyone used the Hammerite sprayer which I have seen in B&Q in the UK for railings, I am thinking of bringing one out the next time we come over. Any advice?

Do a search for details of that spray, it's been on here before I think, with some pretty bad reviews.

kirton - have seen these advertised on TV. Here's an idea - if you decide to bring one over, why not come and and do our railings first? That way you'll see if it's OK to use on your railings. I see you're in Alsancak too, so it won't be out of your way.

What do you think?

Thanks Littlenige! that is cheaper than B& Q.

Hi to the Wicks they are £39.99 in B&Q and that was a special offer, don't really understand how the paint doesn't go everywhere. Worth a try for 20tl! I Will let you know but will be September when it is cooler!

kirton - on a more serious note, I would be interested to find out how you get on, because I, like you, don't understand how the paint doesn't go everywhere! Especially for railings, when they are, obviously, full of gaps.

We are over 7 June but also out again in September - when it's "cooler"

With thanks.

B&Q on a Wednesday with a cripple or OAP badge gives you a 10% discount.

Tinkie mess 3

IMAP, thanks for the info.

Cant even buy a tin of paint without being ripped off.So much for showing ones loyalty by buying in the North.

Hope the 10 ytl was worth the loss of custom from everyone that reads this thread.
