How old are your kids?

Contact the Turtle people. Sorry dont know their proper name or number but I am sure somebody will.

Its not a day out but they arrange good sightings for nesting turtles round about end of May/June time and they also release baby turtles in the wild later on in the year and you can go and watch that. All kids love that, of all ages.

Kantara Castle is a great place to visit for all ages, but watch your footing.

Going towards Famagusta is Bowling, paintballing and go-karting.

Going north up the pan handle are some great kid friendly beaches either for the day, or to hire over night for a real adventure.

I was told that there are some good riding stables your way that are open during the cooler months and you can go on some great days out on horseback.

Good luck.

The turtle project is great, they will be starting night watches after the first week of june, they are located at alagadi beach, there is an old house that they use as a bass. People are welcome to go down and have a chat.

I will be posting when the night watches start, so you can go and watch the turtles lay, then later in the season you can watch the hatching.

Hi Alie, they are a really nice bunch down at the Goat shed Thats the name of their base, pop down any time and talked to Robin he is the guy who runs things down there. you may be able to help out with the patrols on the beach.

The Goat shed is near the first bay at Alagadi, follow the signs for St Kathleens. Its not hard to miss it has a gaint green Turtle painted on the side of the house.

I will keep everyone posted when the night watches start.

Angela
