Can anyone give me any idea of the cost of being connected to the electric transformer please. We have been quoted 1500 pounds.

Cheers Dinky

dinky,

£1500 was what we had to pay for contribution to transfomer connection, it seems to be the going rate.

This is about correct....it should be in your contract..if it is not, you are in a place to negotiate...suggest £1K..take it or leave it.

If your builder wants to put £1.5k in your contract, negotiate this to £1.25k or lower

hope this helps

It reminded me of this chap advising his son to bargain in all situations and always offer half. So one day he went to buy a pair of trousers and the stall keeper asked for 10 TL.

Can I have it for 5 TL please?

Ok have it for a fiver.

But I am too poor, can I have it for free please?

ok have it for free

Sir, I am very poor, can I have two for free?
