The only computer game I play is the Freecell which comes with Microsoft and I find it very addictive. I must always have a few games before going to bed, I find it very relaxing. Let us share the ones particularly difficult to solve. Any suggestions? ismet

Smoggyjim, I am not as good as you are. Normally I do a run of about 4-5 and thenI go one down. sometimes I have to try the same one about 5 times before I can do it. So I am no expert but I find it relaxing. ismet

Ismet. I love Freecell, but am also partial to Solitaire. Like you I find it very relaxing. It`s probably where you get all your patience and diplomacy from.

Thanks for that Natalie - if only! Here in the sunny UK until 7 June. The problem I have with freecell is that on my laptop there are no instructions. If only I knew the object of the game, it would be a start!! J

Wicks, To play FreeCell On the Game menu, click New Game. The game area consists of four home cells (on the right), four free cells (pon the left), and a deck of cards, which is dealt face up in eight columns at the beginning of the game. To move a card, click the card you want to move, and then click where you want to move it. When moving cards to columns, cards must be moved in order from highest (king) to lowest (ace), alternating suit colors. When moving cards to home cells, cards must be moved in order from lowest (ace) to highest (king), same suit. A card from the bottom of a column can move to a free cell, the bottom of another column, or a home cell. A card from a free cell can move to the bottom of a column, or to a home cell.

Strategies and tips Before you make your first move, look for trouble spots such as aces hidden at the tops of columns or low-numbered cards stacked behind higher-numbered cards. Try to keep your free cells unoccupied as much as possible. Empty columns are also valuable. Reveal a partially hidden card by right-clicking it. When you have two or more cards in sequence at the bottom of a column, move the entire sequence to a different column if there are enough free cells open. To move the sequence, click the bottom card of the sequence you want to move, and then click the column to which you want to move it. You can quickly move a card to a free cell by double-clicking the card. At the end of each move, FreeCell transfers unneeded cards to home cells. A card is unneeded when no lower-rank cards of the opposite color remain in the playing area. When only one legal move remains, the title bar flashes as a warning.

Just finished playing freecell, usually have about 20 games a day, present winning streak 1046. Also play Hearts . Used to play Hearts on internet but can't find site now, only the one where you always end up playing bots, waste of tie.

Game no. 22024 is not bad, not too easy but not too difficult. At first it looks impossible but you will get the hang of it. You can try it by clicking on Game-Select Game-22024-ok. Good luck. ismet

Graham, I tried it three times and failed but I have not given up yet. I am sure every one can be won because I believe that they were 'reverse engineered' i.e. the machine played backwards. I did not have much spare time today but I will keep trying and let everyone know if I can do it. ismet

If I get 3 in a row out I stop!! Took me ages to get the hang of it. Play Spider a lot in odd lots, eg a game before going to bed if Im on the computer, or a quick one if been doing something else. recently got hooked on MahJong Fortuna on Zylom.
