Hi All

Someone sent this to me today by email I thought that it was so nice that I would share it with those that are interested.

" He is your friend, your partner,

your defender, your dog.

You are his life, his love, his leader. He will

be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat

of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of

such devotion."

i had a german sheperd for 13 long years , he had behavoural problems , { by the end , we ended up with some as well } we had numerous consultations with a dog psychologist , and we were on first name terms with the environemental health officer ,due to his constant barking , we also had an abatement order served on us , that dog gave us no pleasure , but when he had his first stroke it devastated us , and we nursed him through it . but when he died we were totally distraught , it took a long time to get over it . we may not have had the perfect dog , but we loved him. we have 2 orientals now so life is a little quieter. it is a lovely little ode lesleyd

Likewise Simbas, we had a german sheperd for 14 years, we were told she was a rogue dog, and we would never be able to train her! She could be a bit anti-social at times, she wouldn`t leave our side, she was a complete `softy` with us, our children and the grandchildren. Even now 3 years on we all miss her, and now out here when l see all the stray dogs about, or dead at the roadside, it really gets to me. If we lived in a bungalow/villa and not an apartment I`d end up taking in all the strays! I think I`ll go and sit in the sun and get the old album out. Have a nice day

Thanks guys for your reply's its so nice to hear that there are people that really do care what happens about the animals that we share our lives with and that they also try to help.

I will never give up on my campaign to help animals that are in rescue centres or being ill treated just like you Simbas I believe that I was also put on this earth to do my best for children and animals I will never give up while I still breath.

As for your dogs Simbas & Brabbs we also have a dog who has behavoural problems...lol we take him to see his shrink as we call it, but in the home he is like a lamb but once he's out on his walks he is a bugger for attacking other dogs now he has to wear a muzzel while out on his walks.
