Has anyone done this recently. We are in the process of changing from builders' electricity to domestic and need to know what paperwork we need to take with us to Kib-Tek to pay for our new meter.

Thanks

I beleive all you need is a copy of your contract & your passport.

Hi Piggy

went into Kibtec on May 4th with passport and copy of contract took about 30 minutes cost 460tl meter was installed following week on the 12th we were quite pleased, also left some credit on our account with them last week before coming home to cover us till October. We were not on builders tarrif before though and got them to confirm that we are on domestic tarrif as stated on receipt.

Hope this is of use.

Hi visited Kib-tek on 11th May and ordered meter which was installed on 18th May. It only cost us 279 tl (280 no change).

You need a stamped copy of your contract and copies of your passports which they keep.

Why is there such a difference in the prices - Erik was your meter sponsored/guarantor or was this Kib-Tek's price on the day?

We got 2 receipts from kibtec 1 for meter deposit the other i think was for the instalation. I thought we got a fair price as i was expecting 860 tl as most people had reported so 460 tl seemed fair and i thought just keep my mouth shut and pay before it went up but it seems that Erik the Red got a bargain maybe its depends on who you get in kibtec and what mood there in or perhaps there is differences in area we are in Alsancak.

Hi we had already paid our deposit last year, so the 279 tl was just for the installation. We have been on builders electric since May 2008. I know the price has been lowered recently so it's the same for "locals" and us lot - something to do with the new government I think.
