Since the turn of the year this forum has been invaded by GC’s. They tried to hack it with some success, they seemed to have a result on the on the Villa Owners site. Now it is negative posts, misinformation, and personal attacks on members, especially new ones.

Please be aware of what is happening, this used to be a good forum, it can be again. There are experienced members who can suss them out, and I hope they will. In the meantime, use this site with a positive mind and gather the help you require.

yes, that was back when we had lots more popular members who either left or were forced to leave. Look at the traffic on the BB now and make your own conclusions. A ghost of what it was before

can never in themselves win them back the north, they are easily wound up



I would say that recent hacking attempts are the very highest form of flattery

otherwise as far as I care they are very welcome to continue their postings

You can rowlo, but some of the new members do not realize the situation and think what they write is a fair guide to what is happening out here. The aim is obvious: to distort the problems and put people off either coming here, for a holiday, or buying.

Perhaps this thread, or something similar, should be made a sticky.

yes troodom these sinister messages are aimed at those partly informed

and often in the guise of wanting to help in some way or another

one hopeful said his postings are made in order to save people money!

otherwise its all huff 'n puff and lengthy quotes from printed documents



we'd never accept this nonsence in the uk so why swallow it in cyprus?

the only promotion to save me money were ads for low energy lightbulbs

Troodo, how do we as new members know who are false?, as some off the comments from the forum members have been either rude, nasty and quite frankly off putting.

It also makes you stick up for the member who writes back telling that forum member to ---- off!!!

So being nieve at this game pehaps someone could enlighten me.

Is it the high and mighty members who pick on spelling mistakes of a few, as reading the message posts there are plenty of spelling mistakes and these dont seem to get any nasty comments. Dont quite get it yet.

Gladys, Most members are polite and friendly and always willing to answer a question, however just lately we have had a few new members who start off their posts asking questions, then when they don't get an answer they like, they then turn nasty, Kim and Neil were 'spotted' by most of us early on.

Ask away, I will be willing to answer any questions, and not pick up on spelling or grammar.

Thanks Britvic, couldnt quite make out why every one was being so nasty to poor old Neil, admittedly I didnt know what all the fight was about so serves me right for poking my nose in where I didnt know the full story, oh well no ones perfect, as for the spelling and grammer, well, I have managed so far in life, so, whoever wants to pick up on this can do so, its sad though isnt it. lol
