I suspect they have read rule 3 ("be polite") and are trying to get themselves banned. Having read the deleted post that DC kindly revealed I would suggest they have achieved this. I for one will not miss them.



Having read all the sympathy they gained (from less cynical members than me) in response to their moans about rudeness from forum members, it ill becomes them to respond to a perfectly reasonable comment from AJ in such a way. Clearly everybody's kind words to them were wasted.

I know what you are saying but if you look at their early posts everything was fine. Somehow I just can't manage to get it into my head where it all went so badly wrong.



I joined at the same time as Kim and Neil and I have to say that the site is compulsive!!!

When I'm off working and believe me I do work hard, I kind of suffer from withdrawal. I do not log on then as I would get NOTHING done!

I still have the intention of buying in the North so for me I want to keep abreast of whats happening but I can see where Kim and Neil are coming from.

Maybe they miss it. Lots of people were supportive but I almost fell foul of the rules myself in the first few hours. I wanted to give someone the height of abuse because they said I was boring!

I was one of those volunteers who used to take the tea trolly around and talk to the patients.

Actually, it's Paul that does the voluntary work for our local Hospice, but I did work there myself for 7 years.

It's commendable the work that Paul does.I would find that extremely difficult to cope with having been in that situation myself with the trauma of losing a much loved parent and also having had the experience of the hospice, where from day to day there are no guarantees.You have a rapport with someone and all of a sudden they have gone.One of the memories I have of my 5 years voluntary work is a lady who never married.A Magistrate and a Councillor.In her ordinary life (before the hospice) she had a housekeeper and was used to the finer things in life.She treated the staff and volunteers abysmally, always demanding this and that.No one liked her.I used to spend most of the tea round sorting out her outfit for the next day. She was just so difficult. During her final week, the "wardrobe" went out the window and she just wanted to chat. We had some very long and searching conversations. I sincerely hope I helped her in her final hours.So sad to die without family. x
