I do not want to tell the admin/mods how to run their BB. This is not the purpose of my posting. However, if a member has been banned for a period of time, and people are unaware of the ban, and are trying to get in touch with them or waiting for a response from them on another thread, this causes problems for other members, and you get the threads..... "where has "so and so gone" etc.

Wouldn't it be better, if say, there was a sticky about Bans, so that everyone would know who was banned and for what duration? It's just a sensible suggestion. I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way BTW.

not a bad idea , how about being able to click 'views" and see who has visited the particular thread

Tara....believe it or not some members treat the active pursuit of a ban as a sport.

They wear their Cyprus 44 "Asbo" as a badge of honour.

Naming them on a "sticky" list would be the icing on the cake for them.

As far as I know an English lady is this board's record holder with a ten year ban. Hard to beat...

Hello sunnycee, its when a post gets to stay at the top of the page for a certain amount of time.

Erm I may be wrong but clicking on a members profile will show whether they are banned or not and for how long. And believe me I could count on one hand the amount of members that are presently banned. So is it such a big issue?

Just like Steve Mcqueen, the Cooler King in the Great Escape, always loved the honour of getting banished by a bunch of dumb Nazis, of course he was on the winning side from the start.

Blimey message 8, what did she do?

To put it into context.

In order of current seriousness for sentensing for crimes in the UK...............

Fiddle the IR/VAT man - 15 years.

Rob a Bank - 10 years

Kill someone. Well anything really, depends on which side of the bed the judge got out of.

I wasnt concentrating on serious bannings, just the temporary bannings of a week, a fortnight or a month. Whilst I appreciate you can click onto a member's details to establish this (although I haven't tried it but will this evening), it would be more convenient to use this suggestion IMO.

Izzet must have seen this post. I dont want to email him. He is probably busy anyway.
