There are many Turkish Cypriots unemployed. The TRNC authorities should not give permission to give jobs to overseas especially when there is a local population in need of a jobs.

We advertised for a driver for our company a few weeks ago, and had over 300 replies all from TC and most were more qualified then needed, some had had manager level jobs or owned their own businesses. The position offered was not a fancy position, or even that well paid, it is to drive a van all day in the heat, and all those that contacted us lived in the Girne area as we stated that in our advert, after 3 days of interviews my husband and myself were both feeling very sad and depressed as it showed how deperate people had became in todays financal situation.

People are still calling us to see if the driver we employed took the job.

The two days that we advertised for a driver there was just our ad in the Kibris paper.

So to answer you question YES there are TC that will do anything to work to support their families.

hi Kiwikid;

It is sad to hear that.As a family woman i understand the situation.This is not only cyprus crisis but around the world.I was just trying to help my co-filipino as well who are willing to work away from their family to survive.I hope everybody will understand as well.We are just referring to people who maybe interested.

Thanks for all the comments.

Kind Regards,

Evelyn

ilovekibris,

At least 80% were TC the other 20% were turks with ID cards. We had put that we required a TC for the Job.
