We have a new restuarant due to open in august. Looking for cooks , waiter/waitresses , food/beverage manager , purchacing manager. please send CV's with photo to info@ikontower.com , please note it is the magusa area. Will also provide training course & orientation , positions are full -time .

Do you have any particular areas in mind and also the type of restaurant? I hope you open one somewhere near my house in Karakol area. We have lots of them around my house.

Hi Elko , i popped in to smart the other day , the proprietors where no there , but i have their card , very impressed indeed .........

I believe it is in the karakol area on the main high street (salamis road ) , not sure it will be your cup of tea , its an american franchise , burgers , milkshakes , hot dogs , salads , philly cheese steaks , desserts etc

=> Well, Tommy, I think I ask normal questions - questions anyone could or better should ask before giving away personal details. But you obviously don't even want to name the restaurant. Which is rather unusual, at least in my opinion.

Tommy, has there been an advertisement in the local newspapers (Turkish language) yet? I seem to remember that foreigners can only apply for a job IF no qualified Turkish Cypriot can be found. Am I wrong?

dutch ... no adverts yet , as its not due to open as yet ,, i believe anyone can employ anyone if they are already in TRNC , but your right for the hotel project , if we bring foreigners we have to prove we cannot find anyone here that can do that job . But ways aroud that too ..

=> My Girne accountant thinks not. It's the other way 'round - and ONLY if no qualified TC can be found after advertising the job in the local news papers.

Hey Tommy, What about me? I can do a part time job, say one hour a week and I can speak three languages: English, Turkish and Rubbish. The last one is the one I use when I am having my hair cut. My barber is such an ultra nationalist I have to agree with everthing he says.
