Went to get our tyre repaired today, we use the same place as always, only difference was, we were asked for double the price we paid last time. I challenged this amount and after a few more words he said 'OK' 10 lira is ok. He asked if we were on holiday, I said I lived here permanantly but this didn't prevent him trying it on. I feel really dissapointed as the workers are so friendly there and I just didn't expect this. By the way the said establishment is next to Mederterranean Gardener on main road in Alsancak. Elastic garage.

Perhaps the owner thinks because the place is called Elastic, he can 'stretch' the price a bit )

Best to go to Mustafa at Mertkol Alsancak tyre specialist located near DVD Shop Alsancak - only charged 5YTL and been there twice now same price and also come out to your premises change tyre over so you can drive to get it fixed - a great service
