best area to relocate to???!!!

hi all!!



peter and I were wondering if anyone has any good advice on relocating? we would like to be near the kyrenia area, we have two small babies under two and a daughter who is nine! So a good location for schools and amenities would be perfect for us! I would also like to get a part time job etc! we are happy to go into surrounding areas but would like a direction to start looking! we will get a car, but would really like to have things close to hand!!!

Welcome to North Cyprus. We live up here in sunny Lapta where there are quite a few young families, it is not as built up here in the west as it is in east of Kyrenia. Next to us is Alsancak where Sunny Lane school is which might be good for you if that is the school you have chosen fro your daughter.

As to your question about a car shop around for that best if you go down to Lefkosa (Nicosia) more competition there so a bit cheaper than Kyrenia.

We have a villa at Sweetwater Bay, Tatilsu (which translated means sweetwater) - don't know about schools in the area - but for beauty - it's the best - seaviews - and mountainviews from our place- it's just lovely.

Alsancak is a option to consider.



Properties arent as overpriced (like ozankoy, bellapais, catalkoy etc), good selection of schools, whether state or private.



Good selection of supermarkets.



Considerably low number of house break ins (as compared to Karsikaya).



High number of locals (TC's and Turkish people) meaning that you will not feel seggregated as you would feel in a highly British populated area.

makvickis - don't want to sound like a party pooper (and many people will say that I am), but please, please, think long and hard about this. Education, medical care, cost of living, finding a job, (I could go on).



Can I ask why you are thinking about relocating to TRNC?

I was stuck in a traffic jam on the "Highway" to Esentepe last week,



Cause...



some sheep crossing the road



also, tourists jumped out their car to take photo's,



obviously not been here too long.

really what you should do is come visit for at least a month and decide for yourself where the best place would be for you and your family

Alsancak! - plenty of dolmus to Girne - if partner using car! Sunny Lane School very near to villa we have for sale!!! No, Im not trying to sell it to you - as someone else said - you need to come over and stay for a while and really decide being brutally honest with yourselves! Work permits are difficult - it may be warmer but life isnt 'easier' all the time!!
