Went to the new Tempo's this morning with 'er in doors and the Mungers in tow....

Got to say very impressed, very friendly staff, good choice and bags packed at the checkout...

Supreeme better watch out !!

Only one slight moan - the isles were a tad "tight" for Garry Monger's missus......

We also tried Tempo yesterday and were impressed. We did say that once the floral tributes are removed there will be more room in the aisles and it should be even better when all the goods have been priced but they are working at it. Tempo should do well we think.

Keithr I agree give me Supreme or Erdeners any day, their prices are better, more room and on the whole as much variety. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Have an icecream at Mardos and pop in and do your shop great idea. Mardos banana and Amereto are to die for.

At least the staff are friendly in Supreme and always up for a laugh - unlike Lemars. Where do they find so many grumpy folk to man their tills???

smithy,

The new tempo is on the main karakum to catalkoy road on the left side after supreme supermarket. i like the meat in tempo but used to find trekking to the other side of girne to their branch near bells too much of a hike so i am pleased they are here.

Agree about Supreme. I've been using Supreme from the days when it first opened as a local shop & since then it has grown & grown.

The family who own it are lovely & so are the staff. They will retain customer loyalty because the service is good.

I have to say I was very excited about tempo opening, sad I know, but was very dissappointed, I think that was due to the fact that I shop a supreme and they are working hard to bring things in that are hard to get here, loving the ribeana!!!

Saw an item with a sticker on showing the price in sterling as 1.89. Price in TL was 10.69. What a mark up and a rip off. I wonder if they will change sterling at 5tl to the pound?

i dont think for 1 moment Tempo is going to have any adverse affect on supremes business.

alot of people are counting the pennies these days and i do think supreme is around 20% cheaper all round.

but tempo has got a few favorites on the shelf that ive not seen around since leaving UK.
