Has anyone got no water in Lapta ?

Our apartment site (Emerald bay near the Sempati Hotel) has not had mains water on for about 4 or 5 days

Does anybody have any information on this?

In the summer the mains is on every 5 days. So your tank fills, and you have to make do with the water in the tank until the next fill!

Hi - yea - we're on The Pines and last we had a period of 12 days without water over the last two weeks - we went up to the water board and they sent someone down that day... low and behold water arrived that evening (Monday)... But... haven't had any since...! There is clearly a problem with these sites as i believe the villas adjacent to us are receiving water...?

If anyone has any light to shed - we'd love to hear it!!

Cheers.

Is the normal round of nothing for 6 days and on the seventh there is some!! However if you go into Lapta water is rushing down the drains adjacent to the road and some areas are never cut off- I suspect if you are a government official. The water restriction is earlier than ever despite a wet winter.

This has always amazed me! No water for days on end to Lapta and yet water running down the street. I suppose it would be a silly idea to suggest the council find a way to 'catch' it somehow?

I live in Lapta , mountain side, right up the hill. We only get water every 4 or 5 days. We had some this morning until 8.30am then off again. I have seen people washing their cars from the water that runs down the gulleys. Some people pay for that water to be run into their gardens, not quite sure how it works, but it gets directed to different areas by people paying for it. But I have also wondered why we have no water at home and yet sometimes it is running quite freely down the gulleys.

Dogan Boransel who is on the council is my neighbour and he and his family also do not have water. His mother was complaining about it this morning to me, so they don't get special deals.

The water that used to run down the gully is no more, householders used to be allocated this for an hour or so every couple of weeks but this has now been stopped and the water used for general use.

It still runs down the gully's on some days, I noticed it last week. Some friends of mine in Lapta along with some neighbours, pay for it to be diverted to their garden every now and then.

Afraid to say we are still without water.... We have had guests for the last two weeks and despite every effort to be extra careful with our water, we have had to get several tankers in as we never know when the water is going to appear! Is there supposed to be a regular pattern of water supply to enable residents to plan water usage effectively or is completely 'ad-hoc'!??

I think we will have to pay the water board another visit to find out what's happening...! :(

Hey ho - at least the sun's shining!! Keep smiling, people!

The water running down the gulleys is for agricultural use and is run by a different department within the belediye. They are reluctant to let the general belediye have any of this water but I believe last year they did give in eventually. I have a gully running past my gate but it is on the wrong side so difficult to get too although the farmer next door would probably report me. I also understand that if you have a certain amount of trees you are also entitled to use this water ?

You will need to go up to Lapta and see the Belidiye and report it their must be a burst in the main pipe if you have had no water for 10 days.

Hiya - yea - the water board up at the local Beledeysi in lapta village... We will probably be going up there today - it seems it is only a problem with this site... I think the more people who complain the more likely it will be fixed!

I also live in lapta pines and have had the same problem, I remember last summer the longest we went without water was approx 14 days!!! I have been told that there is a tap on the road down towards the site and someone from the belediye comes and turns this tap on and off to switch the water on! Not sure if this is the case or not but either way there is definitely a water problem at the site. Good luck at the belediye guys!!

Sorry - guys missed it today - forgot - summer opening hours!!!!

I think the piece of dug up road with red tape near it is where the tap is - I think that is what the guy from the Belediye came and looked at when we went up there last time - perhaps we should just take a look ourselves!!

Laptapines - ugly bald guy... it can't be... i'm sure there's no-one on this site going by that description!!! ;)

How exciting -who are you all?? We're the couple with the dog, Daisy... usually seen poking her head through the railings on the roof terrace!!

Ask for Eski Ibo (not Gence Ibo) at the Beledire.... He's in charge of the water and will let you know what's going on.
