new to this

Hi everyone

We are very new to this kind of thing so please bear with us. We are buying an apartment at Tatlisu which should be ready in October. We are flying to Kyrenia on 15 March for a weeks holiday to have a look round and get to know the area a little. However, never having been away this early in the year really unsure what to pack to wear.

Looked at BBC weather site and it seems to be warming up nicely,but know from experience that you can't always go by what they say. So can anyone tell us if it will be T-shirt & shorts weather and will we need a jacket in the evening?

At that time of year some days will be Tshirt & shorts and some days will be long trousers and sweaters. You will definitely need a jacket for the evenings as soon as the sun goes down it gets chilly. Last year I still had my hot water bottle in bed at night. Enjoy your holiday.

hi chickens, we too have bought a property at tatlisu its on the sweetwater bay site .where is yours exactly? we were out three weeks ago and it was awfull weather hailstones the size of ten pence peices wind and rain and an average daily temp of 12 degrees C.but dont wory its only winter for two months jan and feb,it will be sunny and 22 c ish every day while your there. well i hope so regards andrew

not what you want to hear but be prepared for very mixed weather!

Warm during day but cold as soon as sun disappears. Makes it difficult to pack because you need such a mixture of clothes. Welcome to the forum and no matter what the weather I'm sure you will have a good time.

Hi Chicken

Bring out shorts and t-shirts for daytime wear but add a jumper/lightweight jacket and trousers for evenings. You should return with a tan as its normally more days of sun than not in March. Expect the odd day of rain so pack a small fold up umbrella just in case.

We are buying on Sea Terra Reserve and will be taken photos for anyone interested. Can't wait for it to be finished and regular trips to TRNC.
