Hi everyone, I've recently aquired one of those inflatable 'easy up' pools, it measures 12ft diameter & is about 3ft deep (Ok so we can't all afford real, posh pools!) My problem is what do I keep it clean with i.e. chemicals? I've heard of some stuff called 'Poolsan' has anyone used it? apparently it's kind to skin. The pool comes with a filter pump but I'm sure I need to add something as well - don't want to be emptying & filling it up every other day!

Hoping for some advice soon - I'm melting up here in Baspinar!

An easy up pool should not leak at all so I recommend that you try Zerochlor. He should be along in a minute....

Hi again, thought I'd push this back to the top. Went to the pool people om main road Karsiyaka and they wanted me to spend £100 on chemicals! thought that was a bit steep for what is actually just a big paddling pool

This pool is 12ft diameter & 3ft deep - anybody got any ideas? please?

Hi Sheila

Been back a couple of weeks but been busy gardening etc (had Bernie here too) I've just been and bought paint to start painting the rest of the house (outside) so will be up a ladder for a few days! Thought the pool would be nice to cool off in after a hard days painting!

Yes we will have to meet up again - perhaps one day next week - hopefully somewhere cool! it's a bit hot for me just now but hoping to get used to it!

Has anyone noticed that most of the posts are old ones resurected by someone trying to flog a 'restuarant call system'? I'm sending this back to the top as it seems to get swamped with all these old restuarant posts - the equivelant of 'FORUM SPAM' !

Please, please, please can someone help me with my pool? I'm up a ladder painting the house and it would be great to cool off when I'm finished for the day!

At the risk of repeating myself (see message 2), I recommend Zerochlor for your pool.

Very funny (NOT) Mike! just painted half the front of the house.....too hot now so will continue later.

Trouble with the apricot idea is that all the wasps of Baspinar would want to join in too!

Hi maggiieandbernie,

If you do a search at the top of this page for zerochlor, you will get loads of hits. One will have his number. I'm surprised he hasn't contacted you yet.........

Seriously, Zerochlor seems a good product and is very suitable and cost effective in a pool that doesn't leak.

For those unfortunates who have a TRNC swimming pool that leak like sieves, cost a fortune to operate using valuable top up drinking water and need regular cleaning and maintenance, go to the following Website.

http://www.agobard.com.

Just right click the appropriate product, or for further information, send an E-Mail to:-

Pools that leak waste chemicals as they are always being diluted by top-ups. Whether it's chlorine or zerochlor, or similar. Aligator pool cleaning systems continuously treat the pool as long as the pump is running, so it doesn't matter if it leaks as the Aligator is treating the topped-up water as fast as you put it in.

Hi

We have a Floatron in our pool in TRNC and are very happy with it.

Cost effective and uses very minimal chemicals, obviously outlay on Floatron itself is a consideration.

We bought ours in UK and brought it out, but you can get them in TRNC too.

For more information, have a look at tyhe UK distributors website which is very informative.

http://www.floatron.co.uk/

Hope this is helpful

Cheers vaughan

MaggieAndBernie

sorry it took me more than a minute to come along.

Zerochlor in your case would not be expensive. maybe your easyup pool is around 5000 litres. 1 bottle of zerochlor is enough product to treat 50 to 60000 litres. so at £22 per litre ,i think it would be safe in me saying 1 bottle will last you the summer season, and you might had a tad left for next year!

Were in catalkoy almost opposite BOW THAI Restaurant

Hi Susan,

Kind of you to give such a ‘Glowing” evaluation for the Floatron product and like you, anyone who purchases one, is delighted.

And as you have correctly stated, it is extremely cost effective.

However with respect Agobard are the Official Distributors for the entirety of Cyprus, both sides of the divide, so why buy from the UK?

http://www.agobard.com

If we were to sell into the UK, Richard Gibbins of Floatron UK wouldn’t be that pleased.

You have to treat it as if it was a real pool test the water for clorine and the Ph and clean it once a week including washing the filter eliment.

Hi

Do these easy up pools keep cool. When we were over in July the swimming pool was just like being in a bath. Wondered if they are worth buying.

We have one of these, on the south they sell chemical despensing ducks, frogs in the DIY shop they take chlorine tablets you need one tablet every 10 days approx but will vary, use a net and buy the cleaner that attaches to the hose pip ours always looks perfect and without really trying! Always make sure you test it though you can also buy testing strips to keep a check of chlorine , Ph levels etc. Happy dipping!
