There are two liner pool companies represented in TRNC. One is from USA the other France. Since the dollar dropped from 2 to the pound and the Euro from 1.5 to the pound these have become expensive. That aside, from what I have seen the Fox Pools system is much better and has a better finish to it. We are also looking at bringing GRP pools in from RoC and these are also good for the same reason liner pools are - they are quick to build and therefore less disruptive and less damaging to established gardens than conventional concrete pools.

Hi we have a budget quotation for an 8m x 4m pool of 15,500 to 16,500 GBP depending on the difficulty of the site (& ours is quite tricky!)

Normally an 8x4m overflow swimming pool is 15,000 gbp and a 10x5m overflow pool 18,000 gbp

Yes we have and yes we would highly recommend them. Our pool [8x4] kidney shape was built in an existing mature garden and took ONLY 16 days to complete. Excellent workmanship, highly professional, turned up on time, every time and it was a pleasure to do business with them. Since October our pool has been in use throughout the winter as we chose to have it heated. We are so thrilled with it and if you would like to have a look at it please call us on 0533 877 8155. We are in Ozankoy.

I don't think crofter will agree with you as it was me that introduced him to Nurtas.

You are right Vaughan.

Ozankoys - we speak as we find and therefore have only good to say about Vaughan. He always offers us sound advice and is very knowledgeable.

Yes, he did suggest we contact Nurtas, even when HE was in a position to sell us a pool. He gave us another option to look at and we are grateful that he did otherwise we may never have the pool that we have now!

Hi crofter,

Thank you for your kind words.

By the way, how is your Aligator pool cleaning system performing in your pool? You haven't needed any help from me since we fitted it, so I guess it's making your DIY maintenance a snap?

The Aligator system is superb Vaughan - the water is just so soft and lovely to swim in. Yes, you are right, the Aligator is keeping my maintenance of the pool to the bare minimum. Thank you again for offering us a further option.

Aligator systems are very suitable for liner pools as the use of chlorine can damage the plastic liner. It becomes stiff, fragile and the colour fades when exposed to too much chlorine, especially when applied undissolved to the pool.

Hello Crofter

We've just had a pool built by Nurtas - very pleased with it. I would be grateful for some info on the alligator system, if you have time - pamax@t-online.de

Hi pambonn

Vaughan put the Alligator system in for us so please contact him for more information. 12 months on we are more than happy with this system. So glad you are happy with your Nurtas pool. Happy swimming.
