Swap and Sell market

Ever heard the saying: “One man’s junk is another man’s treasure” ? The aim of the market is to give you the chance to either swap or sell your unwanted goods.

Visitors and vendors will be able to find some real bargains!

Vendors can swap their goods and get an item for absolutely free!

To reserve your table now: Please call the organiser on 0533 8405985 or email at ydkw@hotmail.co.uk

Free parking and entry for visitors.

Vendors pay 10TL for their table and chairs.

Open for vendors to set up their tables at 9.00AM

Open for visitors to enjoy at 9.30-2PM

The bar will be serving beverages at special discounted prices, snacks will be available .. So do not miss this fun and productive day out!!

See you there!!

Give Yaseman some support as she is trying very hard to get this off the ground.

Good luck with the venture but if you charge for parking and entry you won't be getting many visitors. You will also sell loads of drink if they are reasonable prices, don't get greedy like most places please.Hope more people turn up this Sunday for you.

With respect, I don't understand your comment about not charging for parking and entry - if you read Yasemen's initial posting:-

PARKING AND ENTRY IS FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What you sell is YOUR clear profit, but as all the work in locating, advertising, then securing the venue every Sunday is down to Yasemen, I'm sure you'll agree, the minimal charge for securing a table from which to sell, is fair enough; to cover her overheads and to give sellers a pitch for their goods.

MsGarnet,

Yes or course what I should of said,i hope in the future there would be no charge for parking and that entry would always be free, [my mistake ] these charges are so often brought in when events become a success, which I hope it will certainly be for Yasemen.Have a lovely evening MsGarnet.

chinaeyes (what an intriguing nicname :0) ) I doubt Yasemen will move the goalposts - it would be self-defeating, but I know how many hours in this ghastly heat she has traisped around delivering leaflets, so I wish her all the best in this venture, on many levels - not least, bringing ex-pats as well as indigenous folk, together.

Hope you have a good evening too china.......

As you all say, one mans junk is another mans treasure, can I please ask, if you don't sell it, can you donate it to the SOS project families rather than put it in the bin.If we think the families cannot make use of it, we'll sell it on our Lambousa stall on Saturdays.

But please, only if it works, and/or it's clean, some of these families are only left with only their dignity,

please call me on 0533 839 9122

thankyou

Hello,

Yes it is possible to book a table on an ongoing basis but I would still ask you to let me know if you are not able to come one week for one reason or another..

Look forward to seeing you all at the market!

Nothing planned for tomorrow yet? Then why not come along to İbo's Inn in Alsancak, either to sell (please email ydkw@hotmail.co.uk or call 0533 8405985 to book) or as a visitor and pickup some bargains whilst having a fun morning out! The first posting in this thread gives all the relevent info!

See you tomorrow!

Yes, Sunday was a definite improvement. More people selling and a lot more customers, so considering it was only week 3, was definitely worth it for sellers and customers.

Hello,

I will not be there this Sunday .. going to visit the UK! That said the market will still be on at the same times etc and will be run by someone else (Umit 05338335740) on my behalf but please still email me: ydkw@hotmail.co.uk to book a table so I know how many tables will need to be set up!

Many thanks,

Hope both sellers and customers have another fun day at the market,

See you soon!
