hi Missy;

You can use Iktisatbank in Girne and Karaoglanoglu for Western Union money transfer.

I used iktisatbank in girne a few weeks ago.

Typical costs to send are::: £600 sent with a charge of £42.

Basically depends on the amount but i think £42 is the minimum rising to £75 to send £2000.

Remember to spell the receivers name correctly (i made a mistake and then got a further charge for a name change).

Also you can only send up to £2000 in 1 day to 1 name.

I use to send money through Creditwest bank using the money gram the charges are almost desame.The best option of sending money is by bank to bank account if you can wait 3 days.The Turkish Bankasi can do this kind of transaction and very cheap compare to Western Union and Moneygram.
