Hi,

I paid about 20 pounds for one just over a year ago. If it is just leaking I think you can get replacement rubber seals from Cyprus Pools.

It depends on the size, usually 50mm or 63mm. Go for a good brand like Astral. Skimping on check valves is serious false economy.

Also, fit a "2nd" check valve in the inlet line. This carries clean, filtered water and should never jamb open.

Hi Tatty,

An easy remedy is to strip down the check valve,

or any leaking joint parts that can be unscrewed,

after isolating the water supply / turning valves to off position.

Once stripped down,

clean and pack with Vaseline, wiping off any excess.

Also cover threads liberally, then refit,

Making sure check valves are facing correct direction,

You must check before removal or mark!

Always check all O rings / rubber seals are intact and in place as you refit.

This may not guarantee no more leaks, but may save you £15+

I have had small leaks in the past, and usually this does the trick,

But not always!

Good luck
