Am I wise to buy a tv in UK and send on container to trnc.

1. are there import duty implications/charges

2. is there any working problems

I heard they were double the cost in trnc but depending on above costs - does it work out?

thx

Hi Lisa,

Bring one from home but you will need to convert it with an adaptor.

Hi Lisa

If its a new tv it should work fine, older ones need an adaptor. Yes it is cheaper to bring one out.

They may charge import duty if they think it looks brand new but I think they've relaxed it a bit now. When we brought our stuff over it was a case of if it was in the original boxes they considered it brand new but I don't think its quite so strict now.

Hi Lisa

I think I've mentioned him before but we always used Sadik T....... can't spell his surname but his place is in Karakum heading out towards Ozonkoy on the main road. He is on the right hand side just past Aladins Cave. His phone number is 00905428511101 e-mail serene@analiz.net, fax 00903928151505.

Next time I'm passing I'll tell him he's giving away business - that'll frighten him

Hi Pipie

Thats a good question. I've never asked him. I'll find out and post it.
