That's me set up for the day now just had square (lorne) sausage, real Scottish black pudding, tattie scones, fried egg and beans. Served with fresh bread and butter, fresh orange juice and a lovely helping of sunshine.

What more could a body want.

Thanks Mr nurseawful it was great.......mmmmmmm

Morning lilli

did you know that you can order Stornaway black pudding on-line from the stornaway butcher in Lewis and he sends by courier next day delivery. We have friends in Australia who get it.

It was brilliant Trudy our friends bring it over twice a year. Have to hide some of it in other peoples freezers though as hubby would eat it all in the firsst week

Yum, its the best kind of sausage!! When bringing it over, do they just stick it in a freezer bag and in their main baggage? Is it easy enough? I wouldn't have thought you could bring meat over?

Nursie;

Need I remind you that Scotland has the highest infarction rate in the developed world and a major reason for that is the breakfast you just described.

As a result of this depravity I have no choice other than to get the Lorne sausage, tattie scones, Ayrshire bacon, and black pudding oot o the freezer and have it for lunch today.

I was going to have rump steak, but a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do.

Sod the arteries!

Nurseawful..I just had a right rollicking off some guy on another thread because I said that he was lazy for going to cafes and paying 10tl for a fry up,why not do it himself.He said I was tight fisted for not supporting local enterprise.The fact that I would by the produce off local enterprise did not occur to him..Just thought ,could have been the cafe owner...

Lorne sausage on a good old fresh scottish roll with tomato sauce. Guess it won't take you long to fathom out who I am to the tune of 'wish I was home again' after a swallie or two. Just in case you have any doubts it will be lunch time where you are.

Can someone tell me what Lorne sausage is, I've never heard of it, but then I'm from the South, and I guess we're not so posh. I just have cornflakes for breakfast, but love it.

One of the surprisingly many places you can get Lorne sausage, haggis, and black pudding is Orphanides.
