has anyone used avis car hire are they as bad as there blog suggests

has anyone used avis carhire, after reading there own blog on there website there are some really bad press,



just about to book with them but after reading there blog not sure if i will still be using them as the customer reports are really bad



prices upon pick up nothing like wat was quoted.

credit cards charged without prior notice.

crazy charges for scuffed tyres

very unhappy customers

cannot get an answer on insurance / breakdown restrictions on border crossings

I book through Easycar from Stansted but their agent there is Avis. So, I get an Avis car at Easycar prices. Avis have always been very good when I have used them.

were did you pick up the car from , if it was south and you drove north was there any extra cost or restrictions.
