Why would we need to get our dogs injected against Echinoccocus when the preventative treatment is PRAZIQUANTEL, already present in PARATAK worming tablets, which we, at least give to our dog. All owners probably issue these every 3 months to their dogs and if not they might like to, at a cost of around 4 tl per tablet.1 tablet up to 10 kgs, 1.5 to 15 kgs and so on. Cheap enough and covers all worms.

What would be interestring is a breakdown from the ministry in charge of animal welfare of the ratio of Foriegn pet owners to Citizen pet owners who took their pet for the inocculation!

Hititbet have the Yabanci's as odds on favourites to pay money to the state at 20-1 for the pets injection!!!!

Aslan, we should ask to see it, in fact this policy should be open for all to view. Surely all animals should be screened first, in case they have contracted it and require treatment first. In USA dogs etc are screened for Parvo before being vaccinated. They test for heartworms too. Do we assume that all strays are going to be screened/treated , after all, they will eat the most rubbish/carcasses etc and therefore are more at risk of infection.
