With an all time low voter turnout across the EU of 43% the national socialist party based in Germany is proposing that any E U citizen who does not vote will face up to 5 years imprisonment for or a fine not exeedeing €10,000.



Is it right that people have the right to vote yet fail to do so ?



Should it be compulsory to vote ?



Why are left wing socialists all in favour of democracy when they win but when they loose they throw tantrums and propose polocies that limit opposition and dissent.



Why are right wing parties refered to as right wing extremists whils left wiongers ar not refered to as leftwing communist sympathisers ?

National Socialist Party does not exist in Germany. In fact its banned. Did you perhaps mean the Social democratic party?

it is not uncommon for voting to be compulsory - I believe it is an offence in Australia. I don't think it SHOULD be compulsory.. if I'm feeling lazy - I try to recall how folk died to give us the right..

Well if they are going to start imprisoning people for not voting. They better start now on building more new prisons as they can't cope with the criminal population as it is. Plenty half finished building in TRNC going cheap starting with that abomination just as you come in to Lapta on the sea side!
