I suppose alot of you guys will remember all the anan plan so wont be getting to carried away.I personally have only been made aware of it recently. Its got to be good news that the two sides have agreed to get together though.I think the first thing that will happen will be the opening of ledra street, this will be seen as a gesture to the people.Theres an old saying which says that "one swallow doesnt make a summer".But every little helps i suppose,

Regards,

Paul.

It seems to me that one of the biggest stumbling blocks regarding the talks will be agreement on the annan plan. The turkish prime minister has sent letters to 26 euro ministers saying that the annan plan must be the basis for future negotiations. But his greek counterpart has responded by saying, that the annan plan had been rejected by the overwhelming majority of greek cypriots. And no longer constituted a basis for negotiations.Looks like a stalemate before they even get around the table,

Regards,

Paul.

I agree Paul, it has to be the starting point, even if adjustments have to be made.
