Skype call on a 3 Mobile - experiment

Hi I just bought a new mobile as it offers "high quality free calls" via SKYPE to anywhere in the world.



I well remember trying to call LittleNige using Fring software on a Nokia from the "rump" RoC and found it was crap :(



Now I want to try it from the UK to some folk in Russia and Cyprus.. - 'cos if it doesn't work -it's going back



so LN, and any others - who's up for a test... ?

It works I do it all the time if I phone you from cyprus on my skype phone here your mobile will ring. Your mobile skype wont work in Cyprus though, my skype phone here is conected direct to internet

Hi wished i had known last week, came back yesterday, i have the same set up with a Nokia E71 but could not get a skype signal anywhere.

f you look at skypes list of counties with the flags showing those are the only countries you can get MOBILE skype to skype calls

Thanks for all the input so far - Woody - how is the quality of calls from SKYPE in "TRNC" ( via computer) to a UK based SKYPE 3 mobile - or vice versa ?

Dont think it makes any diference if you use computer or phone I phone U.K. everyday some days exxellent others poor overall pretty good now has improved a lot over last 12 months I also get lots of calls from U.K. all about same quality if I had to mark out of ten it would be 8/10

I am on 3 went on this network just to get skype at the time I thought my mobile would work in cyprus with skype It does not. If you are talking about being able to make a skype call from cyprus on your mobile to anywhere else with 3 IT WONT WORK the only countries you can do this from are the ones you can buy a skype number for as these are the only counties that have 3 network. If you go into your skype settings on your phone there is a list of countries that has 3 coverage
