Hi all, Just returned from N.Cyprus and bought an apartment on Palm Bay View. Have spent in excess of eight months researching the purchase and went out with a very open mind. Spent time with three carefully picked agents and finally bit the bullet. We instantly fell in love with the place and loved the people and the area. Would be interested to meet anyone else who has bought on this development. Ours is due for completion in twelve months. Found this forum about six months ago and found it to be very helpful and informative. We are heading back out probably Sept/Oct to see how things are going.

Hi all, thanks for the warm welcome, Palm Bay view is between Esentepe and Bahceli probably closer to Bahceli on the sea side. Had a shortlist and this one won.Very impressed with Developers/Builders ( and I have been in the building trade for over 30 years). We did see some horrific builds while we were there, didn't know Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles were builders in the North ha.ha. Would like to know if anyone else on the forum has bought there. Seems pretty friendly here.

Here's hoping everything keeps on schedule and we are all very happy with our purchase. If it all comes together it should be spot on !! Will post an update on our return. All the best. |

Bloggy, Steve & Ediz & anyother PBV ers, Any comment, or update, on our March newsletter ? It does look full steam ahead. I could just imagine myself sliding into that pool for a quick swim then over to the "bar" for an ice cold beer. It's getting close to our dream people !!! Steve, you purchased a little later than the rest of us, what were you told re site completion ? As you know we are out in May for a snagging visit but looking at the pictures completion of the site does seem some way off. Reason for asking ? it does look if we use No 9 this summer we will be living on a building site and I don't really fancy that. If we are looking at completion early 2009 then I will plan accordingly. All the best guys. Morty

Bloggy, Marty Ediz, When we were out they said pool was due for completion in May and from newsletter looks ok. We bought site 18 and at that time all apts along front were well underway. Our block was out of the ground and is due for completion Feb 2009. There was a lot of work going on when we were there but seemed to be well planned and under control. Underground water tank was finished and see from newsletter is now covered so they are on time as far as the schedule we were given. I would say you are realistically looking at end of 2009 for total completion. Have a lot of photos from last visit so if anyone wants them PM me. Mike.

Had an E Mail from PBV relateing to those of us you purchased a garden appt. It transpires that we, the purchasers, must decide what we want in the garden area e.g grass, stones or whatever and then we have to pay for it. This could be done on an individual basis or as a group, which would apparently work out cheaper uif we opted for the same. I am informed that if grass is the choice then it will not be watered by the management as it does not form part of the communal ground. I am out at the end of the May so will try and get the full picture.

Morty, We were told when we purchased in Feb that the garden was our responsibility and we could do what we liked with it. If we wanted them to do something ie: grass, stones, flags etc there would be a charge. We were quite impressed with the plastic grass we saw at SeaTerra so will organise that ourselves (my idea of gardening next to green concrete). If you hear anything else let us know. Mike.

Steve A, My neighbour at No 11 (Sheila) has spoken with PBV and requested contact details for all in our block, that includes Bloggy. I favour something green and what you have found at Sea Terra sounds a possible option. If you have any details it would be much appreciated. I will attempt to get some details while out in TRNC at the end of the month.

Morty, Remember reading on this forum recently something about plastic grass and if my memory serves me right was about £22 per square metre installed. Will have a search later and see if I can find the thread. Mike

Mike, Thanks for giving me the details for the grass people. £22 per sq m does not sound bad. When out in TRNC in a couple of weeks will try and get the ball rolling. Will of course give you an update on my return. Is there any questions I can raise on your behalf when I'm out there. Dave

Morty, Just the usual. Price installed, firm price, reputable firm. I saw it installed at Sea Terra and looked really good. Site Manager said they had used it quite a few times and no problems. I am going back out in October to see how things are going but would be great if we could get a price for a job lot if enough people are interested, I'm sure Carol Anne could give us contact details for all others in garden apts. Have a look at number 18 when you are there although agent emailled photos two weeks ago and all appears well. Have a good trip. Mike

Hi Guys just got back yesterday after doing our snagging at PBVwe also found out about the garden being our responsability and also we have to pay for the sheeting above in our tiled area I mentioned to the site engineer about the garden area slabbing, crazy paving ect. and he suggested wooden decking this did seem quite a good idea but obviously we need to discuss this as it would be much better if everybody agreed so that costs are kept at a minimum. Also my mate has just had his shade area done at his villa and it cost £350 but it was quite a bit larger area than our apartments anyway the site is looking great the pool is magnificent and massive if anyone wants toget in touch email me at home and I will give you my phone number Bloggy

Im planning on moving there in July just hope it will be ready. I think it is one of the best quality developments in the North! I think it is going to be a great community and place to live! Look forward to the house warming parties! Regards Nunu1 |

Dave2169 the Easylawn grass is supplied and fitted by Tolga who has a garden centre in Karsiyaka (0542 859 3212). You really need to go and see him because there is more than one type to choose from. He also has a small area of grass laid at his restaurant and he can show you gardens that he has done. You will find him on the main road in Karsiyaka nearly opposite Club Simena.
