As MPs' expenses are finally made public (but with key details hidden), Brown's response is a helpline for distressed MPs

Gordon Brown today set up a helpline for 'distressed' MPs as their expenses claims were finally published in full, but with huge sections blacked out.

The Prime Minister has offered all Labour members legal advice and support if they are worried and told them to contact his parliamentary aide.

His move will be greeted with ridicule amid fresh outrage at how swathes of claims made by MPs have been deleted from the official records published today by the Commons http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1193823/Blackout-MPs-expenses-finally-public-online--key-details-removed.html

Their claim forms and receipts have been heavily redacted in an apparent attempt to stop their abuses of the system being spotted.

It proves how many cases where they have milked the system would have been kept secret had they not already been leaked in full.

hi nige, i for one welcome their transparency,on the expences scandal. and would like to congratulate, new

labour on their open and transparent, revelation of mp,s expences. after all it must be true as it is all now in black and white, but mostly in black. i can now sit back in total confidence, in that the new labour party will win the next general election. if any mp,s need any help, they can always go too the citizens advice bureau

and put the visit down to expences.
