There are loads of fruit rats about.

They eat fruit, grapes, etc not like the sewer rat and they are quite friendly.

Have not seen any in N.Cyprus, but you could get some of the wild cats to deal with them!

My own little pet would not be able to - she ignored a desert rat which came to my bedroom

in Abu Dhabi.

I would have thought with all the cats that are roming about there wouldnt be many rats about.

I suggest that you start feeding a couple of cats if you get them where you live I am sure that they would deal with the problem.

Buy some rat poison pellets - the garden shop down the road beside the phone office in Girne always has them. Get a piece of 4 inch plastic drain pipe a couple of feet long and put them in there. Rats will always go into things like that but the pipe will be too small to allow cats or any other animals in. If the pellets disappear, just keep putting more in until they don't!

Nostrodamus, good idea, will get pellets today.I have got a cat,but he just wanted to play games with the rat.

I think it could have been a friendly fruit rat...but with a hard brush hit, unable to ask it anymore.

Feeling guilty now,he could have eaten all the lemons from the ground

Negative Nick,my bird's flown back to UK.

Meet again 20 sleeps away in Istanbul

Then another month before she's here.

Regret Garry Monger's wife would be too much temptation

Will keep with my own ugly little animals
