While we all have a moan about paying for 10 ton a month whether we use it or not, wouldn't it be nice if we actually received 10 ton! So far today in our complex of 17 apartments there have been 3 tanker deliveries and if it is not on tomorrow we will have to have a delivery and we are by no means wasteful.

yep I am on Lapta Pines and have just ordered a tanker! Its very annoying paying monthly as well as having tankers in between! I live on my own and also am very careful with water.

Have you been to the Belidere (sorry, probably spelt wrong!). We are in Yesiltepe and the situation there is dire. We went and complained as we didn't have much lwater left in our tank and did get about 3/4 of a tonne. Mind you we only pay for what we get.

Forgot to add that we find it very difficult to get a tanker to deliver as we don't have a swimming pool and it's not worth their while to deliver a couple of tonnes.

yesterday someone told me about the water problems in lapta, apparently you have a new source opening soon, then you should all have water.

Outside the house with the Turkish flag. The council switch it off and forget to turn it on again ( the man on a scooter).

Still no water! The tanker suppliers are rubbing their hands with glee. If I knew where our local councillor (if there is such a thing) lived I would be sitting on his doorstep.

Water been trickling in since early hours of the morning so go switch the lever now and you should get some. I stay round the corner from Lapta Pines. Next to the house with the "Magic Pool". This pool has only had one small tanker in 4 years and they also have a lovely lawn which in fairness they water most times with well water although they keep telling us it doesn't have a lot of water in it.

Message 12. maybe the man on the scooter is a 'friend' of the tanker drivers, if you know what I mean ;-)

Does anyone know where all the on/off taps are in Esentepe? Just in case I see a man on a scooter.

The man on the scooter drives about opening and closing taps in various places in Lapta. Unfortunately he often forgets to turn the Pines/ Emerald Bay back on. Historically, there have been major problems with bursts on Kamelya Sokak which is an unmade road, heavy tankers/ dustbin trucks have caused damage to the water pipes on a number of occasions. The best POA is to go to the council and make a complaint about the Pines supply, we went about 20 times between 2006 and 2008 before we moved off the Pines. The other option is to purchase another 2 tonne storage tank, may seem an expensive option but pays for itself in a couple of years. Plastic ones are better, in our opinion.

Hope you all got water last night on Lapta Pines. If not just been up to the Belidiye and spoke to TOLGA he speaks perfect English as I have a problem with the lack of water at 2 holiday letting villas. When I told him they have only had 1/2 ton since the last bill he said but do they not use it only at weekends. Which leads me to believe and I could be wrong that they are not supplying to places they think are empty and holiday homes. However Tolga phoned me back and said that they will have water in 2 days.! watch this space .
