Dear HarryRoberts

it is necessary to download a 20 meg plus .exe file that is not digitally verified by the publisher..

That always worries me about what else in in the software..

Do you know how this systems works?

I'm happy to try it on a pc in the UK - if you can reassure me it doesn't also include spyware!

It works on Chegwins computer.

But nothing special. Better than nothing for some though.

I guess they are the ones you have to subscribe to.

Sky News works. That was the only one I tried, just to see if it worked.

A couple of the others were scrambled.

I'm guessing the Free to air stuff ( SKY NEWS , CNN, etc ) will work - it will be working by re-broadcasting content.

Still, hoping someone technically "savvy" will reassure me it isn't full of spyware.

re msg 9

If you want ITV... it looks like you need a VPN ( virtual private network - that makes you "look" like you are in the UK..

Then you can use itv.com ( ITV player) or zattoo.com or http://tvcatchup.com -f you internet connection is fast enough..

I can let you try a UK vpn - for 48 hours - if you pm me - to see if it works for you.

Hi 6ms thanks for the offer but I suspect the connection I have (turkcell 3g) is nowhere near fast enough most of the time.

Off back to UK for July & Aug so I guess I'll just hang on for my 'fix'

Ran a virus check and it seemed clean. Nothing showed up on Norton 360.

But I have dumped it anyway. Dont need it.

Dear HR

just installed the .exe file and ran setup

I'm IN the UK on a reasonably fast connection - certainly faster than 99% of "TRNC" ones and get "scrambled" on all ITV's and BBC1's and C4..

Now, as you know these channels are NOT "scrambled"...

so far not a lot of use.. am I doing something SO wrong ?!

UPDATE ... left the prog running and suddenly - got the "HD"versions to "work" - freq pausing :(

The "low" versions don't seem to pause in the UK, but I wonder how long this site will last? .. Zattoo and tvcatchup HAD to comply with the law - tvcatchup was closed for a while - as they should not be available to non UK IPs...

As long as this prog doesn't "bugger up" one's PC - it "seems" you might be able to use it to get BBC/ ITV/C4.. but I have my doubts about the reliability of bandwidth

Interesting ...

I CAN confirm it has uninstalled and I will check to see if it has left any "unwanted" progs !

the UK it offers no benefit over the BBC iplayer/ ITv's / c4 equivs or zattoo or tvcatchup - and it has less channels available

The fact it doesn't need a VPN a "bonus" .. I just can't see how they can continue without the usual BBC legal action.
