Hi Ive

Jo in Karsiyaka here! There are quite a few pool companies in the area although I don't have personal experience as we do our own pool.

Splash Pools at the Sunset Beach Club in Lapta (0533 865 4959; email unbitlis@superonline.com ) are quite close to you. They advertise every week in Cyprus Today and apparently carry generators in their vans so there is never an issue with power outages. When we first got our pool and we weren't living here, our pool didn't get cleaned for over a month because everytime they came the power was off. Strange how this problem resolved itself once we moved here (ho hum).

Unfortunately we see pool companies arrive to clean our neighbours pools and they stay 5 minutes and then they are off. If you can get a personal recommendation so much the better.

Hi Ivan,

Got your mail OK. I think it's the same development your Mother's on, but recommend you wait a while to get the pool maintenance.

Various prices being floated about from £50 - £80 and there's no shortage of companies who do it.

I'm back out again soon and may have some good news for you.

Cheers & first BBQ on you!!

T.

Hi - We use Pools R Us. They have been great - they charge £50 / month in summer and £25 / month in winter. They visit and clean twice per week in summer and once per week in winter. They will arrange to top up water when necessary as well. The whole team are very nice and very professional. They check your pumps and equipment, vacuum the pool, check and add chemicals and clean the pool terrace. They also remove and replace our cover when the property is empty. Their office is stuated just before Lapta on the main road on the left hand side (heading away from Kyrenia). Hope this helps.
